This unique piece by acclaimed artist Shirley Cleary features a Great Northern plugdoor boxcar. Shirley
is best known for her angling and miniature paintings, and her works have been featured in numerous publications
and exhibitions, including the International Miniature Exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute, the Women Artists
of the West at the Tucson Museum of Art, and the C. M. Russell Auction in Great Falls, plus many more. Her paintings
have graced several covers, and she is the only woman featured in The Fine Art of Angling; Ten Modern Masters. She
received her BFA degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her MFA degree from Temple University's Tyler School
of Art in Philadelphia and Rome, Italy. She also studied at the University of Valencia in Spain and the Corcoran in
Washington, DC. She has lived in Montana since 1971.
