The Art of John R. Murphy

5499 - John Murphy has just made this masterpiece of his available for purchase. It puts the viewer right in the path of the Pennsylvania Railroad's K-4s No. 5499. The locomotive is representative of the last group of these locomotives that were constructed in 1928 at the Pennsy's famous Juniata Shops in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It is one of the most famous of the 4-6-2 Pacific types to run on any American railroad. John has once again shown us how he has mastered the use of the airbrush as well as the paintbrush.

Painting is under glass with a 2" dark wood frame and is double matted in dark gray/black.
