Planting Instructions
Planting Timberline Scenery trees is easy and fun! For VERY realistic results, follow these few simple instructions. Selecting a location for trees Before you drill, hold a tree in its new home with a needlenose plyers. (see Figure 1)

Drilling the hole If you are satisfied with its location, drill a 7/64" hole. It doesn't matter what angle in which you drill the hole as part of the beauty of Timberline trees is that they maybe bent to fit the terrain. (See Figure 2)

Holding in place Keep a small container of Timberline ground cover available. Dab a bit of hot glue on the wire trunk, dip the trunk into the ground cover to coat the glue with ground cover then immediately press the tree into the predrilled hole. The ground cover will help cover any plaster dust from drilling the hole and if the tree is one of ours with a real wood trunk, it will help blend the trunk base with the scenery. (See Figure 3 & 4)

Final adjustment In a few seconds, when the glue is dry, simply bend the tree into an upright position. Adjustments may be made any time after the glue sets up. If you are planting them on level ground, bending is not necessary. Simply drill the hole straight down into your scene and press the tree into place. (See Figure 5)

Tip: I've found that trees usually look best as single trees or in groups of three or more. For some reason they just don't look as convincing in pairs.
Tip: When you're planting a tree in a forest remember that the ground under the tree is often free of plant life as the sun doesn't reach this part of the forest floor. In order to create a realistic effect, we recommend that the ground cover you use for dipping the wire trunk into is a dark one to simulate dirt or dead weeds. Most of all remember that you are the master of your scene and there is no "wrong" way to do things.
Happy planting!!!
Thank you for choosing Timberline products!
