A patron wanted a work showing Milwaukee Road electrics. After completing the work, I became enthused to do more
and executed a series of Milwaukee Road scenes, including this one, depicting their unique classic electric
locomotives operating in a canyon in the Bitterroot Mountains. The sun is just setting behind the ridge, casting
the canyon in shadow, but there is enough light falling to light up the outline of the train and the trees.
