Buffalo Morning

This is another cover painting I did for a book by Geoff Doughty about the New York Central's passenger trains. The
location is the terminal in Buffalo, New York, with its imposing tower, and two classic examples of the New York
Central's fleet pausing in their journeys. Only after the painting was completed was I told that the cover was
supposed to be a night scene, so I started another painting using the same composition, but this time, I used
lots of black paint. So here is the result of careful research and one of my better paintings that didn't make it to
a cover.
