A paradise for train watchers has to be the area around Cajon Pass, California. It was always on my list of places
to visit whenever I was passing through southern California. The colors of the land in that area, on a clear day,
are bright pastel, interrupted by brush and scrub. This is one of many paintings I've done of trains on Cajon Pass,
and with this one I wanted to capture the way the sun hits the land and illuminates the newly painted F45
locomotives as they get to the top of the pass.
