Modeling &
Detailing Diesels, Volume 2
Thanks to an ever-growing number of quality diesel models being produced
and an abundance of diesel detail parts being offered, the modeling and
detailing of diesels continues to be a growing segment of the hobby that
is enjoyed by more model railroaders than ever before. Without question
HO modelers have the greatest choices when it comes to the availability
of various prototype equipment and detail parts, but modelers in N, O
and S are also seeing their options expanding
Although all of the modeling projects in this book were done in HO
except for one in N scale, modelers in all scales can greatly benefit
from the prototype information and modeling techniques offered in
Model Railroadings Guide to Modeling and Detailing Diesels Volume
Two. Whether or not you are modeling the specific prototypes
covered, the information provided by the authors can help you improve
your results as well as your enjoyment.
Taken from the pages of Model Railroading magazine, the articles
in this book have been grouped by railroad and compiled to provide a
handy reference guide for the diesel modeler. All of the articles were
originally published in Model Railroading between October 1991
and October 1992. Price information contained in the various articles
should only be used as a guide since it represents the prices that were
in effect when the articles were originally published in Model
Railroading. When necessary, other types of information have been
updated and corrected prior to inclusion in this book. Some additional,
previously unpublished drawings by Jeffrey W. Capps have also been
included. September 1993.
