When driving across New Mexico on the interstate or on the old Route 66, it's hard to ignore the constant parade of Santa Fe trains that pass by. This
painting replicates what I saw outside the windows of my old Pontiac on the many driving trips to and from the West Coast, which were made more interesting by
the countless number of trains I was able to observe, often keeping pace with them for miles.
