Having been an admirer of General Motors' Aerotrain,
I thought about combining a Corvette with the train. With General Motors' Corvette designed by Harley Earl and his team
and Bill Mitchell's Aerotrain, designed by legendary Chuck Jordan, it had to make a nice painting of the 1958 era. I
talked with a friend, Craig Clements, and he suggested I paint the XP-700 Corvette. It worked! Whether or not the two
ever appeared together on California's Cajon Pass I really don't know...but they should have!
