Signal Bridge at Duncannon
by Andrew Harmantas
Oil on Canvas on Panel
Original Painting Image size 16" x 20" Framed size 22" x 26"
The Middle Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad along the Susquehanna River north of Harrisburg and the sprawling yards at Enola was one of the busiest
stretches of railroad in America. It was always a good place to be for watching trains, and I was never disappointed. This is near the end of the Pennsylvania
Railroad before it turned into Penn Central. The locomotives still retained the Pennsy's restrained livery, with keystone emblems. This painting shows a pair
of SD45s on a general freight train, headed west through Duncannon.
