UP Big Boy Drifting Down Sherman
This open edition, 12" x 24" print by noted aviation and railroad artist William Gardoski is printed on 80 lb acid free archival matte finish paper. It depicts UP 4022, one of the Union Pacific's massive Big Boy (4-8-8-4) locomotives, with a string of PFE reefers loaded with fresh California fruit in tow as it drifts down Sherman Hill toward Cheyenne on a bright sunny summer day in the late 1940s. The fruit, headed for the East Coast, will continue over UP trackage to Omaha, before being handled over the the C&NW on its eastward journey.
Print is shipped rolled in a strong cardboard tube. When ordered at the same time, additional prints by Gardoski are shipped at no extra charge.
