Click the cover image below for a downloadable, high-resolution PDF version of the April 2006
issue of Model Railroading. This sample is fully searchable, and its pages contain many active hyperlinks. For example, to go to
the Table of Contents page from the cover, just click on the issue date in the upper right corner. You can also go directly to a specific
article from the cover or Table of Contents by clicking on its name, and when viewing the advertiser index
you can jump to an ad by clicking on the advertiser's name. Feel free to explore the capabilities you will find in
our full- and multi-year CDs.
This sample PDF version contains the complete magazine and requires
Adobe® Reader® (5.0 or later), which can be
downloaded for free. Be forewarned, this is a big file, so
performance over the web can be slow. DSL or broadband internet access is
recommended, but a 56K modem can be used...but it is REALLY slow. You may also download the file directly to your computer. The file is about 8 MB,
but once downloaded, will provide quicker access.

Scale License Plates
HO
O
S
I created these license plates from images of real license plates from different states and eras. Numbers
were changed to provide a variety of different plates. There are two plates per number for states that had front and back
plates, but only one for states that I knew only used a single plate in the rear. The majority of plates are from Colorado
(1958), but other states and years are also represented. Click on your scale above to access either the HO, O or S scale versions.
Modeling Union Pacific E8/9 Locomotives
Click the image below for a free, downloadable PDF version of the article I did on Union Pacific's E8/9 locomotives, which
appeared in the February 1994 issue of Model Railroading. The article is a scan of the printed version so the text is not searchable and the photo quality isn't that found in the 2000-2006 PDFs that are available for sale.
Denver HO Model Railroad Club
Click the cover image below for a free, downloadable PDF version of the article on
the Denver HO Model Railroad Club that appeared in the December 1990 issue. This is the club that I have belonged to since 1974. The article is a scan
of the printed version so the text is not searchable and the photo quality isn't that found in the 2000-2006 PDFs that are available for sale.
